Lesson #1: Don’t forget something warm for the fair. The day you do, this will happen:
And you will be freezing. At least my windshield survived, though I haven’t had the heart to inspect for dents yet.
Lesson #2: When working on applique, interfacing helps.
On the top, I simply sewed the two pieces together. As you can see, this was not bright. Below, I put interfacing on both the snake and the background, and it came out much neater. Now I’ve got to trim down the background and sew the edge under, then attach it to the entire project.
