If a tree falls in the forest…
Is one lonely fingerless glove a Knuck?
I’ve come to realize that I’m a horribly slow knitter. While I may have gained some speed in the actual wrap-and-pull process of knitting, I have such a tendency to get distracted from or totally forget projects that my overall finishing rate has little improved from my first lumpy, shameful scarf (which took me somewhereabouts six months).
And that’s nothing, NOTHING compared to how slow I finish a second something. In fact, I’ve never in my life finished a second of something. Up until last night, I’ve never in my life CAST ON for a second of something. I am Second Sock Syndrome embodied (which may well be why I’ve never attempted socks).
Thus, I am proud to report that I’m two fingers into my second Knuck (it would have been three, but I knit two pinky fingers- alas!) and counting. Being a consummate nerd, I have added a DNA cable to the back of my knucks. I will not be adding letters to the knuckles… on this pair. I do, however, have visions of a future “Hook/Jab” pair floating through my head.
Knit knit knit.
