Step One

Washing things?  Takes FOR FREAKING EVER.  Finally, after lunch, I manged to sit down in my sewing closet.  Behold, my progress thusfar.

My first major goal was to get my base shirt, the green one, fitting properly.  Specifically, I needed to take it in to fit snugly, and I needed to modify the neckline so I’d like it.  I started here:

…marked where it needed to be taken in and cut down and otherwise modified…

…and got stitching.

(Tootsie Roll Pops are very useful when stitching.)

Voila!  A green shirt what fits and is cute.  I’ve not finished the neckline yet -I can’t decide what color to finish it off with.  I think I’ll leave that decision to damn near the last thing I do.

Onward to the sleeves!
